Richard D. Huxford

Richard D. Huxford was born and raised in Roselle Park, New Jersey and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in Political Science from Montclair State University. He was awarded a Juris Doctorate with honors from Widener University School of Law and is admitted to practice in the State and Federal Courts of New Jersey, the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Huxford served as a legal intern for The Honorable Norman E. Veasey, Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court and served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable James C. Heimlich and Stuart Peim, in the New Jersey Superior Court. In 2014, the New Jersey Supreme Court first designated Mr. Huxford a Certified Municipal Court Law Attorney. It is distinction that he continues to hold today as there are only less that 25 lawyers certified as a Certified Municipal Court Law Attorneys.

After joining the firm as an associate in October 2002, he was assigned to work on civil litigation, landlord-tenant matters, municipal court cases, and criminal matters. Mr. Huxford continues to work provide excellent results for the firm’s clients and is a partner of the firm. Mr. Huxford also presently serves as the Township of Clark Tax Appeal Attorney and has previously served as the Tax Appeal Attorney for the Borough of Garwood, Municipal Prosecutor for the Borough of Roselle Park, and Borough Attorney for the Borough of Roselle Park. Mr. Huxford has conducted hundreds of trials in the various municipal courts in New Jersey, including numerous DWI/DUI trials.

Mr. Huxford was selected as a New Jersey Super Lawyer by the Super Lawyers Magazine and was named as a Lawyer of Distinction for 2019 and 2020.

Mr. Huxford also focuses his law practice on the needs of individuals in the areas of general civil litigation, estate planning, landlord-tenant matters, and all criminal matters in Municipal Court, including Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and Driving Under the Influence (DUI) cases and all other types of matters heard in the various municipal courts.
